My Aunt Rita was such a special lady who loved her husband and family; a welder, writer, witty conversationalist - she could do it all. She took care of me when I was sick - served the tastiest Campbells chicken soup ever. Didn't spank me when I dumped a box of Tide onto the garage floor, even though she probably should have. As sick as she was, she and I were able to hold conversations about current politics and she made her viewpoints very clear. She adored her grandchildren to no end and was so proud of them. She knew how to live to change what she could, and accept what she could not. She held on to courage and faith even when in so much pain, and as badly as she felt she always asked how everyone else was. The last of my elders. I loved her and will miss her dearly.
