I was fortunate to meet Gary when he owned The Depot. I was assigned to handle his advertising for The Oroville(Bird St.)Mercury. He was a busy man but had time to see me to discuss his restaurant advertising. Oroville has lost a dedicated, community-minded citizen. To his family, I extend my deepest condolences.

I am very sorry for your loss. Gary was such a warm and fun loving man. He also knew how to give good hugs. I would guess he inherited that from his Italian heritage. I want you to know Mark and I send our deepest sympathies to you all during this time of grief. I pray your many wonderful memories with Gary will provide you peace and comfort today and in the days ahead.
I will always remember the kindness and friendship he extended to my beloved Mom and the Cecchi family at large. The Oroville community was blessed to have Gary as a devoted and treasured citizen. He will be gravely missed.
