Obituary of Walton Louis Williford
His Legacy… Wally was born January 6, 1946 in Oroville to Martin C. & Maxine Gramps, at age 6 months he was adopted by Evelyn & Louis Williford. Evelyn remarried Chester Unfried 10 years later. Wally graduated from Oroville High School in 1963 then joined the Air Force. He returned to Oroville and was hired by Pacific Bell as a lineman, and later as a repair tech in Yuba City. In 1989 he married Susan & they took many hunting vacations in the Sierras & Colorado. Later fishing became his passion. He retired in 2008. Wally was a caring friend, husband and father.
His Family… Wally is survived by his wife of 26 years, Susan, his children, Martin of Narragadsett, RI; Matthew of Oroville; Zena (Art) Sanchez of Bakersfield; 4 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, his half brothers, Bo and Harvey Gramps, half-sister Zena Stegall, his mother Maxine Gramps and step-brothers Alan and Cory Unfried. He is preceded in death by Martin Gramps, Louis Williford, Chester Unfried and Evelyn Unfried.
