Joan Ellen Jacobsen was born on March 12, 1940, in Long Beach California, To Mary and Merle Hensley. Joan passed away surrounded by her family as the sun set on December 17, 2022, in Oroville, California. She was a beloved Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Aunt and friend. She loved her family deeply. She enjoyed family gatherings, dancing, music, fishing, hunting, camping, boating, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and many other activities. She was proceeded in death by her Mother Mary Hensley, her father Merle Hensley, Daughter Ruth Ann Peach, Grandson Nicolas Jacobsen, and Husband Douglas Jacobsen.
Joan is survived by her Daughter's Linda Batory, Son-In-Law Michael, Barbara Musilek, Son-In-Law Greg, Robynn Capestany, Son-In-Law Greg, Son's Christopher Lopez, Daughter-In-Law Kari, Timothy Jacobsen. Grandson's. Craig Loomis, Alexander Jacobsen, Connor Capestany, Trevor Capestany, Granddaughter's Valerie Batory (Tyler Wilson), Melissa Batory, Fallon Peach (Codey Adkins), Elyse Fick (Andrew), Marlena Jacobsen (Nic), Hayven Lopez, Emirsyn Lopez, Great-grandchildren Ean Batory, Liam Batory, Recker Wilson, Madelynn Adkins, Gracelynn Hill.
Joan was a very strong, loving woman who enjoyed life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Her memorial service will be held Wednesday January 11, 2023, at 10:30 Am at Ramsey Funeral Home 1175 Robinson Street Oroville, California 530-534-3877 with a graveside committal service at 12:00 PM, at Memorial Park Cemetary Oroville, California.
