I met Joan over 30 years ago when we both worked for Butte County. We became fast friends. She had a great work ethic and was a true, sincere friend.
We had lunch together often and socialized on many occasions.
When my second husband passed away in 1998, she spent many hours with me to comfort me in my grief.
She was selfless and always had time for her friends.
I met all of her children and enjoyed being part of her "family".
I will remember her as being one of my treasured friends and am honored to have known her.
