Keith and I had some great times serving together on the USS ESSEX, between 1992-1995. Our friendship started early while in Pascagoula, MS, as being from Texas I was only 8hrs from home. My family at the time had cattle and Keith once came with me on a visit and helped feed the cows and my Dad, which was an old Navy Vet, enjoyed spending time with Keith. Our times on San Diego were action packed as we tried our best to kill many brain cells during our free time, but we also had great adventures in Hawaii, Hong Kong, and Australia. We were masters of our own domains and were forever bonded by our past. Glad we were able to at least keep tabs on each other via FB and sorry life didn't give us another chance to cross paths on earth. Nonetheless, you will always be locked in my memories and loves for the person you were. Rest easy Shipmate! Taft Thomas, DS2 USN
