I remember back in the late 60's early 70's when the Catholic Church added the handshake of peace to the mass. The very first time we did this during mass, my dad turned to the person behind him (because our family took up the whole pew) and said, "How do you do, my name is Sue" (from Johnny Cash's song "A Boy Named Sue". The man looked shocked and our whole section of church burst out laughing, me included! The priest looked down from the alter with a very puzzled looked on his face.
