The last time I saw Grandma Bennett. She sure loved her Andes mints!

Song for Grandma Bennett
Now that she has crossed the veil
All is well.
At rest from storm and stress,
The durm and strang
Of painful days is done.
Peace has begun.
Her eyes were the lively greenish-blue
Of the Swedish sea.
A beautiful hue
To see you and me.
Hope, sadness, joy, light, comedy,
And sometimes anger
Sparked in them.
Perfectionist by nature,
Nothing was perfect.
Two sons passed on before her:
Steven and Jeff,
But she kept on.
She loved to clean the house,
Eat Sandies,
And watch the most suspenseful soap operas.
Each morning she prayed and searched the Scriptures,
And each afternoon she cleaned up and did her hair.
She had all the right prejudices
And the Lord refined them over time.
She was as beautiful
As an orchard at dusk,
As fresh
As the Feather River,
And her love was thick
As Gridley humidity.
Although she had valid excuses to,
She never "let herself go."
We admire her for that.
Grandma Quist was like a mild cheddar cheese,
Grandma Bennett, a sharp cheddar.
She taught us how to prune bushes,
Use napkins,
And make the bed properly.
She is Christ's property.

Sandra was a childhood friend. We met when she started school at Biggs Elementary. We were close friends through most of high school; until her family moved away. We kept in touch over the years through phone calls and occasional visits. She was an influence for good in my life and a strong example that led to my joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. - Carol Ann (Savage) Poulsen

Sara and Michael Bennett when they were little. Sandra Bennett's grandchildren. Also Sara at her wedding and that was such a happy day for Sara as Sandra was there to support her. She will be missed greatly. Hugs and love to Michael and Jolynn.
