Here I was researching and trying to find people I had met during my Navy days, only to find out that Mike had passed away over 3 1/2 years ago. We had fun camping in NWCape back in 1975! He and Kathy were such a sweet couple. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

I first met Mike when working at the PG&E warehouse in Marysville. We commuted together from Oroville to Marysville every day, and worked side by side. He was such a lovely man and he adored his family. He talked about them constantly. I was blessed to be called friend by Mike and the world was a better place having him in it. God bless Mike and my prayers and condolences are with his family.

I grew up with Mike, we had a great group of neighborhood kids out in the country. Mike was always happy and upbeat, even when things were tough. When he and Kathy got married and then started a family Mike got right into the family routine, and loved it. I'll never forget when their little ray of sunshine, Krissy, died. Mike and Kathy were devastated. They found their way back to the light through the Lord, and another lasting memory for me was when Mike would listen to you with a slight smile on his face and when you finished telling your story he would have a bigger smile and say "Praise the Lord" or "Praise God"! Faith was built in to his family and Mike's heart was full of love.
When little Krissy died so many people said "only the good die young". Now that Mike has begun another journey we say that again, for he was much too young, and while he has gone to be with Krissy and his Savior, we are left with the sadness that one of the really good men on this earth has left us all. He touched many, many lives in Oroville and he will be remembered by me for the depth of love and goodness he shared, and that smile with the big dimples.
Dee, Kathy, Kellie, Joel, Tim, Dennis, Karen, and his beloved Grandchildren, you gave Mike the gift of Family, of Fatherhood, of being a husband, a son, and a brother, and you gave him your love. You have a life of memories to cherish. It's so difficult to go through the grieving, but there can be a great peace when, in time, your focus subtly changes from his death, to the fun memories of his life. God Bless you all.

My sincere condolences to Mike's family and dear friends. I did not know Mike well. He was, however, the unforgettable PG&E guy who really cared about people. Mike lived that caring spirit in his approach to PG&E customers (going the extra-mile; even providing his personal phone number in case he was needed). The first time I met Mike, he recognized my name and realized he and my mother attended the same church. Mike said the kindest words about her. Which were true. He manifested sincere, positive energy. Mike was a testament to living fully, gratefully, optimistically. The kind of life that touches other lives in meaningful ways -- even from just one encounter. Those of us fortunate enough to have met Mike are better because of him. In that way, Mike made the world a better place. And that's a grand legacy.

Mike was both salt and light to this world. His love for Jesus was lived daily with passion. He was both mentor and friend in walking out daily the Love of God. so many memories of his kindness. I am most thankful that he kept inviting me to his church The Fathers House which now 21 years later I am still part of. We anchored the prayer room together for several years and shared a love of music. He exampled walking a life of faith in the work place in a way I hope I have duplicated. I hold you in my prayers Dee and Kathy. your loss is huge. PRAISE JESUS we know we will see him again.
