Obituary of Lola Dean Eslick
Her Legacy – Lola Dean Eslick (Mama) passed away on December 24, 2019. She was born on July 5, 1931 to Frederick Arthur and Vella Woodward. She was raised with her siblings Ralph, Robert, and Pauline in Fresno, California until she married her husband James Everett Eslick on April 2, 1953 at Albuquerque, New Mexico. She moved to Oroville in 1958, where she raised three children with James. She was employed at Central Middle School for 25 years as a cafeteria worker. She loved to walk, dance, sit by the ocean, spend time with family, and drink good coffee at her favorite coffee shop Mugshots, where she could often be found chatting up all of the other patrons. She was known for her loving spirit, great sense of humor, and her ability to befriend others. Wherever she went, she never knew a stranger.
Her Family – She is survived by her husband James, children Charles Eslick (Martha), Randy Eslick (Linda), and Michelle Medford (Rick); grandchildren Amber, Charles, Eliseo, Jill, Briana, Michael, Phillip, Morgan, Erin, Kyle, Denton, Christopher, Krystina, Malachi, and Nathaniel; great grandchildren Amber, Marissa, Derek, Devin, Audrey, Brett, Alen, Anyia, Tristen, and Ariadne; great-great granddaughter Paisley; and sister Pauline
Her Farewell Service – A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 25 at 1 p.m. at Ramsey Funeral Home, 1175 Robinson Street, Oroville, CA, 530-534-3877. In keeping with the spirit of Lola, a coffee and pastries reception will follow at a location to be announced. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
