My condolences to the family I’m so sorry for your loss.
My husband Paul worked many years with Lawrence at the school. When they worked in the summer Lawernce would always barbecue up some ribs for the guys . My husband spoke very highly of Lawrence and he was a good friend to him. There wasn’t anything Lawrence wouldn’t do for you if you need help.
One fond memory I have is the night Lawrence took Paul and I with a group of friends out fishing for catfish. We must of fished every creek and pond in Butte Co and no one caught a thing. What fun but exhausting night we all had. It was especially memorable to me because I somehow had gotten into poison oak and found out the next day.
My husband passed sometime ago and I’m sure he will be glad to see Lawrence once again. There they can fish for as long as they want

Uncle L,
I will truly miss our endless conversations about what many thought was our shared love of "useless knowledge". I am so thankful for the few but special moments that we've shared. You were the one person that I know who knew something about everything. Until we meet again...save me some popcorn. Love you!!
Your loving niece,
Devrie

Lawrence loved to work on vehicles. He was friendly, funny, and always had a smile. May God bless you with the angelic assignment of being the head automotive mechanic in heaven. Your brother in Christ.

I had the privilege of meeting Lawrence Gibbs in 1983 at Las Plumes High School. It was my fifth year as a teacher in Industrial Technology and I had just transferred from another school in the middle of the school year. Lawrence introduced himself and was really interested to find out if my name was Larry or Lawrence. He was disappointed that my name was not Lawrence. However, this introduction was the beginning of a great friendship. Lawrence was a big hearted man. I look forward to seeing you in heaven.

"For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens... Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord.. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labor that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him." 2 Cor. 5:1,6. 8-9 We, the Wash Family from East Chicago, IN. regret the passing our dearly beloved cousin, Lawrence. May he rest in peace with the rest of his/our family. To the rest of his family, may the peace of God surpass all of your understanding.

And I told him STOP messing Up my BANGS! He will be missed by all of his Siblings. We will miss his laughter and Big Smile. May he rest in Peace with Daddy. May God Bless everyone. Amen
