It was a very sad day when I read that Burney had passed away. Burney and Edda were very close friends with my parents, RL and Charlene Youngblood. Their lives were so connected and did so many activities together. When my parents had to move from their home, I don't know what we would of done without Burney's help. That's when I got to know Burney, how he made everyone feel loved, his infectious smile and laughter, his hard work ethics, his love for food and desserts and his love for the Lord. Although my mother has advanced Alzheimers and would no longer recognize Burney, I know how grief stricken she would be to know she has now also lost Burney. We were all so blessed to have him in our lives and to know what a true friend he was to us all.
