Obituary of Carol Jean Arnold
Carol Jean Scott Arnold passed away on Sunday, October 22nd, 2017. She was born in Gridley on February 10th, 1954 to a loving family. Carol attended school in Gridley and later attended college at BYU Provo. Soon after, she served a faithful mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the Belgium Brussels Mission for 18 months. Later, she met her eternal companion and they were married and sealed together at the LDS Oakland Temple. She lived for her children and taught them to live and love the scriptures. Carol loved to travel, to go on motorcycle rides with her sweet husband, and visit with her grandkids.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Scott, and her siblings, Bruce, Emily, & Ellen. She is survived by her mother, Wanda Scott, her siblings: Sharon Smith, Linda Smith, & Brian Scott, her husband, Douglas Arnold, & her children: Candy Adams, Robin Cox, Adam Arnold, Chad Arnold, Corey Arnold, Elizabeth Witthans, Carrie Arnold, & Clayton Arnold. Currently, Carol has 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Friday, October 27th, 2017 at 10:00am. It will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gridley on Spruce Street. Family and friends are welcome to join us in celebrating Carol’s life and honoring her sweet memory. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel 530-846-2138.
