Obituary of Alan Francis Goergen

A memorial service will be held on Monday October 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 400 Spruce St. Gridley for Alan Goergen, 35 of Gridley. He passed away on Thursday October 5, 2017 in Roseville, CA.

He was born on May 9, 1982 in Kenosha, WI. Alan was a longtime resident of Gridley, where he attended local schools and graduated from Gridley High School class of 2000. He worked as a dispatcher for Yuba Sutter transit for several years. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed stateside. He enjoyed gaming, including online and board games. He was also an avid reader.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Goergen and his paternal grandfather, Vernon Goergen.

He is survived by his mother, Roxane Goergen of Gridley, his brother Ryan Goergen of Olivehurst, his maternal grandparents, Ronald Pfeiffer of Marble, AR, and Wanda Goergen of Kenosha, WI, paternal grandmother, Joyce Goergen of Marshfield, WI, numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Family suggests contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
