Obituary of Donald Henry Oswalt
A graveside service will be held on Monday September 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Gridley Biggs Cemetery for Donald H. Oswalt, 92 of Oroville. He passed away on Sunday September 10, 2017 in Chico.
Don was born on August 5, 1925 in Reed Springs, Missouri. He was a longtime Butte County resident, having raised cattle for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling in his RV along with other RV’ers. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Okinawa.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Oswalt. He is survived by his daughter Judy Rea of Chico, son Donnie Oswalt of Oroville, two granddaughters; Kathy Rea, Brielyn Ledford, grandson Christopher Rea, one great-granddaughter Piper Ledford all of Chico, and one sister; Sue Davis of Oroville.
Bishop Terry Hamblin of the Gridley 3rd Ward LDS Church will officiate the service. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel 530-846-2138.
