Obituary of Gilberto Rosales Acosta
Gilberto “Mario” Acosta, 61 , passed away on August 27, 2017, with his family at his side. He was a Gridley resident for 43 years.
Mario, as he was best known, is survived by his wife, Carmen; three children: Tony (Tanna), Monica, and Edgar; three grandchildren: Makaylin, Isabelle, and Tony Jr.; his father; four brothers and five sisters, and numerous uncles and cousins.
Mario was known to be a loyal, loving, and fun person who fought his health problems for over 30 years with courage and optimism. He loved to dance, sing, garden, and was his wife’s best cooking consultant. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Viewing will be held at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel, from 4 to 6 p.m followed by a Rosary at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 7 p.m. on September 5, 2017.
Mass services will be held on September 6, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gridley, California.
