Obituary of Cheryl Jean Manes

No formal services will be held for Cheryl Manes, 69 of Gridley. She passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in Gridley. She was born on April 25, 1948, one of four daughters born to Raymond and Rilla Prouty in Quincy, CA.

She was a lifelong resident of Gridley, having worked as a clerk at many Gridley markets. She was known for her love of cats, and was a friend to all that knew her. She was a member of the LDS Church Gridley First Ward.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Linda Smith, and one nephew Jamie Cabrera.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Bill Manes of Gridley, two sisters; Doris Roles of Biggs, and Darla Wojcik of Oroville, one niece Jana Fields of Oroville, one nephew Trony Manes of Washington, three great-nieces and one great-nephew.

The family suggests contributions to the SPCA. Inurnment will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
