Obituary of Michael Eugene Wright
Michael Eugene Wright, 52, passed away suddenly on June 30, 2017, of natural causes in Gridley, California.
He was born February 11, 1965 in Sutter County at Fremont Hospital to Norman and Joyce Wright. Michael attended Manzanita Elementary school and high school in Gridley. He graduated in the class of 1983. He was a member of the Manzanita 4-H Club as well as the Future Farmers while in high school. He raised and exhibited registered Suffolk Sheep at County Fairs as well as the Cow Palace in San Francisco, winning numerous awards. Later in life he became involved with the Cherokee Home in Oroville. There he became an excellent cook, preparing all meals for the residents. During this time of his life he also worked as a security officer for Concerts and other events throughout the state.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Joyce Wright, uncles: Norman Hoffman, Jim Wright, and Edgar Wright.
He is survived by his sister, Cindy Stowe and husband John and Nephews, Justin and Scott Stowe; life long friend Shawna Brown and her family: Deamber Lawson, Alex and Aiden Lawson, Janessa Lopez, Andrew Schnuair and Haley, Ashlynn, Nuah and Olive, Aaron Schneider, Tara and Nova.
There will be a Memorial Service Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Gridley Moose Lodge. Arrangments entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel 530-846-2138.
