Wanda Wilson

Obituary of Wanda Mae Wilson

Her Legacy… Wanda Mae Wilson was born on July 7, 1929, in Blocker, OK (raised in Haileyville, OK) to Vera and Richard Parks. She passed away peacefully June 7, 2017 on the beautiful grounds of Mercy San Juan Medical Center only four weeks before her 88th birthday. Wanda married the love of her life, Tommy Wilson Jr., September 14, 1947 in Oklahoma. Shortly thereafter they moved to San Jose, CA. Wanda and Tommy grew their family with the addition of their two daughters Gwen and Janet. Wanda was blessed to have her two children and five grandchildren all live close by and even on the same street for a period of time. After retirement, Wanda and Tommy returned to Oklahoma and lived there nine or ten years before selling everything and returning to their home in San Jose in September of 1994. Shortly after their return, Wanda’s husband of 47 years, Tommy passed away. Wanda stayed in San Jose for another two years and then moved to Oroville, CA in 1996 to be close to her family. Wanda spent her remaining years loving and caring for her family until her recent passing. She will always be remembered as our Nana who will forever be, 39 and holding.

Her Family… Wanda is preceded in death by her husband Tommy. She is survived by her daughters, Gwen Aragon and Janet Gangelhoff, her grandchildren, Tiffany Mariano, Andrea Lobato, Aurastar Aragon, Shannon Snowden, and Jason Gangelhoff, great grandchildren Dakota Lobato, Auryanna Lobato, Cammie Mariano, Max Mariano, Austin Carruth, Matteo Chambers, Abby Aragon-Martin, Brianna Gangelhoff, Nathan Snowden, Kylie Snowden, Jake Gangelhoff, and Kenzie Gangelhoff, great-great grandchildren Serenity Lobato, and Titus Lobato.
