Obituary of Burnice Lee Coggin
His Legacy… Burnice was born on January 21, 1927 in Salem, Arkansas to Will and Bessie Coggin. He moved to California at the age of 11 with his Dad and two older brother. His mother passed away when he was 3 years old. He served in the Navy during WWII, after which he went to work for the Western Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific for 43 years. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge and was a past member of the Butte Wheelers. Burnice passed away on May 25, 2017 in Oroville, California.
His Family… He is survived by his wife Leanna Coggin, daughter Susan Weaver, granddaughter Angela Rohr, grandson Michael Coggin, great granddaughters Bailey Rohr and Hilarry Coggin. He was preceded in death by his father Will Coggins, his son Jack Burnice Coggin and his brothers Ellis Coggin and Eldred Coggin.
His Farewell Service… Family and friends will honor his life privately. Arrangements are entrusted to Oroville Funeral Home (530) 533-0323.
