Obituary of Samantha Vang

Her Legacy…Samantha Nkauj Hnub Vang, born July 23, 1999, in Oroville to Ger Vang and Youa Yang, died May 25, 2017, due to a car accident. She attended Las Plumas High School for her junior and senior years. Samantha was expected to graduate on June 9th, 2017 with the Las Plumas Thunderbirds Class of 2017. She was a 4.0 student with big dreams ahead of her. Samantha was accepted at CSU, Chico and intended to continue her study there in biology. She was an active community volunteer from Butte County to San Joaquin County. Samantha was loved by everyone who knew her. She was the life of a party. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. Her Family…Samantha is survived by her parents, Ger Vang and Youa Yang; her five sisters, Mai, Carrie, Adina, Janice, and Julie; her two brothers, Jessie and Justin; and 16 nieces and nephews. Her Farewell Service…A celebration of Samantha's life will be Sunday, June 4, 2017 1:00 PM-4:00 PM at Southside Community Center, 2959 Lower Wyandotte Road, Oroville, CA.
