My Dad, Bill Adams worked with Darrell at the Gridley Caltrans yard many years ago. We went fishing for salmon when I was a teenager on the feather river. I ran into Darrell many times over the years as I too pursued a Caltrans career. And I got to talk to him at the Tackle Box a few months back. He looked frail but was in good spirits.
