Obituary of Della "Madeleine" Prock

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery for Madeleine Prock, 89 of Chico, California. Madeleine passed away Sunday April 16, 2017 in Chico, CA. She was born on July 17, 1927 in Carthage, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Butte County, having lived in Gridley for many years where she worked as a floor lady in the cannery. She enjoyed gardening; she loved to travel in the family RV with her husband R.D. She also enjoyed spending time on the houseboat. She was a wonderful cook and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband R.D. Prock, two sons; Danny and Gary Prock, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by one son, Ron Prock of Chico, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Interment in Gridley-Biggs Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel 530-846-2138.
