Obituary of Lynell Barrington

Lynell was born January 7th, 1964, in Fremont, California. Her family moved to Butte County in 1979 where she remained, living in Oroville, California until her passing April 11th, 2017. Lynell had a great love for her family and was a very devoted mother. She had a heart of gold when it came to her children and granddaughter putting her heart into all that involved them. Lynell was a very loyal friend and dearly loved by many as her smile could light up a room. She would always be the first to ask what she could do to help, whether it was family or friends in need. She made an impact in the lives of those she loved or had just met. She had a remarkable grace about her and her actions. As known by all, Lynell was a very humble yet strong person, which added to her natural beauty. She loved life and saw the beauty in all things around her. She had great passion for music, art, the Raiders, NASCAR and time with family and friends. Lynell attended Butte College where she studied art. She was working at the VFW until her passing and previously worked for The Fraternal Order of the Eagles for 20 years as the bar manager where she was also a 20 year member where many lifelong friendships began. Lynell had very strong work ethic and always strived with integrity to provide the best possible service for her employers. Lynell is preceded in death by her father and mother, Warner and Barbara Jagoe and is survived by her brother Mitch Jagoe of Chico, her daughter, Victoria Herrera of Oroville, her son Luke Barrington of Oroville and her very loved Granddaughter Dali Faye also of Oroville. Lynell will be dearly missed and always in the hearts of all those who loved her. She was truly a blessing to many. A Celebration of her life gathering will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm at The VFW Hall located at 1901 Elgin Street, Oroville California.
