Obituary of Danny Leroy Ambrose

His Legacy… Danny Leroy Ambrose was born on October 15, 1946, in Fresno, CA to Thornton “Barney” Ambrose and Virginia Nelson. He died on April 9, 2017 in his home surrounded by his family. He spent the majority of his life working in the local lumber industry. Many of those years were spent as a Lumber Grader. Seasonally, as a 2nd job, he worked for the Oroville Cannery as a Forklift Operator. Our Father will be remembered for his quick wit and funny sense of humor. He enjoyed laughing, reminiscing and spending time with family and friends. He loved skiing on Lake Oroville, telling funny jokes, the Green Bay Packers and classic cars. He was a member of E Clampus Vitas, Chapter 7-11, an organization that helps widowed women and children. His Family… Danny is survived by his four children, Danny Ambrose Jr, Tricia Ambrose-Azevedo, Joseph A. Ambrose (Kira) of Kelseyville and Bobbi Hobbs; his 9 grandchildren, Ricky, Larry, Allyson, Joseph, Kirstin, Bowen, Brandon, Hunter and Maysin; and 2 great grandchildren, Joseph and Liam, 2 brothers; Butch Ambrose and Randy Nelson (Gloria) of Ventura, his 4 sisters; Charlene, Lisa, Velma and Stephanie Ambrose. He is predeceased by his father; Thornton “Barney” Ambrose, mother; Virginia Nelson, brother; Kenneth Nelson, niece; Brenda Ambrose, nephew; Troy Ambrose. His Farewell Service… Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Ramsey Funeral Home, 1175 Robinson Street Oroville, California with Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd. Oroville, California.
