Obituary of Vella M Dubois

Vella Mae DuBois, 91, of Gridley, California passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017. Vella was born on August 24, 1925 in Norman, Oklahoma, one of fifteen children born to William and Frances Newsom. She touched so many lives with her sweet smile and genuine love. She will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, six sisters and her husband William (Ed) DuBois. She is survived by her brother, Carl (Eunice) Newsom, of Sutter, California; two sisters: Margaret Starr, of Lovelock, Nevada, Delores David, of Oroville; daughter Judy (Jack) Bonslett, of Gridley; son, Bill (Sherry) DuBois, of Chico; four grandchildren: Cheryl Helm, of Gridley, Carol Helm, of Gridley, Dwayne DuBois, of Chico, Jolene (Brian) Illes, of Chico; four great-grandchildren: Jason Anguiano, of Walnut Creek, Cheyenne Wilhite, of Gridley, Madison Arnovick, of Chico, and Grace Illnes, of Chico; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside service will be conducted at Gridley Biggs Cemetery on Wednesday, April, 12, 2017, at 1 p.m. A Celebration of Live will be held at the Gridley Moose Lodge following the services.
