Obituary of Isauro Chavez Castaneda

A mass of Christian burial for Isauro C. Castaneda will be held Friday April 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church in Gridley, California for Isauro C. Castaneda 84 of Gridley. Isauro passed away Sunday April 2, 2017 in Marysville, California. He was born on June 17, 1932 in San Agustin Del Miaz, Michoacan, Mexico. Isauro was a longtime resident of Gridley, having worked as a foreman for Junior Dewsnup and Brad Barrow. He enjoyed outings with his family, cooking, music and dancing. He had a strong work ethic and worked every day all his life. He was member of Sacred Catholic Church of Gridley, and a member of Concilio Mexicano in Gridley. Isauro was preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters. Isauro is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Maria Castaneda of Gridley, two sons; Gavino Castaneda (Wendy) of Oregon, Paul Castaneda (Heidi) of Santa Rosa, CA, two daugters; Yolanda Jauregui (Arturo) of Gridley, and Amelia Castaneda of Gridley, three brothers, three sisters, fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday April 6, 2017 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel, followed by a rosary at 6:00 at Sacred Heart Church. Contributions to Sacred Heart Church.
