Obituary of Dora Hill Brown

Dora Hill Brown was born on March 26, 1925 in Canton, Mississippi to Charlie and Nancy Hill. She was the youngest of 13 children. She relocated to Gary, Indiana as a small child. She graduated from Froebel High School in 1944. Dora was the loving mother of six children, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She worked in social services and retired from The Gary Hobart Water Company (American Water). Our mother touched so many lives through her wisdom and generous heart and loving spirit. Dora passed away on March 25, 2017 in Oroville, California at the young age of 91. We celebrate her life on earth and her rebirth with our Lord in heaven. We will miss her dearly. Dora is survived by her children, Doreen Hooks of Oroville, CA; Amelia Butler Henson of Salida, CA; Nancy Butler of Oroville, CA; George Butler Jr. of Colorado, Lowery Butler of Colorado, L.G.
