Obituary of Michael Dean Mooney

Michael was born on March 27, 1954 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Cecil &
Carolina Mooney.  When Mike was 9 years old his parents relocated to Red Bluff, California where he attended  Red Bluff schools and graduated from Red Bluff High School.  During the rest of his adult life he has lived in Yuba City, Chico and Oroville, all in California.

Mike enjoyed crafts, gardening, reading and watching his favorite Home Improvement, Detective & Sci-fi shows.  He also enjoyed shopping at second hand stores and dancing. He loved listening to country and gospel music especially his favorites The Old Rugged Cross and Amazing Grace.  Mike passed away on February 6, 2017 in Oroville California of health complications at the age of 62.

Mike is survived by his life partner Penny Mooney of 29 years, his sons; Michael Jr., Cecil, Lloyd, Chad and his daughters Cynthia and Amanda Mooney along with his grandchildren; Anthony, Nicholas Jr., Cecil Jr. & Matthew Mooney.  Mike is also survived by his two sisters Delores Mooney Lowe and Terry Mooney Murchie. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert Mooney, Cecil Mooney, Jimmy Mooney and one sister Carolyn Mooney Canalax.
