Obituary of Marianne - Borba
Her Legacy…Marianne was born on January 3, 1931 in Akron, Ohio to Thomas and Marion Morgan and died January 18, 2017. She moved to Oroville from Santa Monica when she was sixteen. With the exception of spending five years on the Fort Bragg coast, she lived in Oroville the rest of her life. She was a past member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and a longtime member of "The Old Table Mountain PTA." She invested 25 years in her career as a Bus Driver for the Oroville High School District and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. During her life she enjoyed the company of friends, growing plants and taking care of her dog. She was an avid reader and crossword enthusiast. She was known for her quick wit and humor. She loved collecting holiday decorations and displaying them throughout the various seasons. Her true love and passion was her dog, Maddie.
Her Family…Marianne is survived by her son, Jack Alpers, her daughter Jill Engbers and her four grandchildren: Josh Dyer, Nalatie Alpers, Tyler Alpers and Sage Engbers, along with her beloved dog and faithful companion, Maddie.
Her Farewell Service…A Private Farewell Funeral will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oroville, California.
