Obituary
Obituary of Audrey Ellen Hoffman
Her Legacy… Audrey Ellen Hoffman of Oroville passed away on January 22, 2017 at the beautiful age of 95. Audrey was born in rural Kansas on October 18, 1921. Audrey moved from Kansas to California in 1942 where she met and married the love of her life, Clifford Hoffman. One year later their first son Richard was born followed by a second son Carl in 1947. Jack, Cliff’s first son, was a very important person in Audrey’s life. Audrey and Cliff made their home in Oroville, in 1950, where they opened a jewelry store. For the next 51 years they operated the family business. Audrey was lovingly known as “Mama Jewels” around the town. Audrey was a devout Christian belonging to the Church of the Nazarene. Sunday was her favorite day of the week and fellowship in the church was most important to her. She will always be remembered by her sincere and sweet beautiful smile, which she gave away every chance she could. Her family will not be the same without her specialty pies and cakes. She was a pie baker extraordinaire, and baked for every family celebration.
Her Family… Audrey is survived by her three sons and their wives, Richard and Janet, Carl and Jeanne and Jack and Mary. She had six grandchildren, Cari, Mark, Kevin, Christopher, Eric and Juliana, and ten great grandchildren.
Her Farewell Service… A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ramsey Funeral Home 1175 Robinson St. Oroville.
