Benny will always be remembered at LPHS/OHS. His record set at LPHS has yet to be beat in football. He had an amazing personality, happy and a friend to everyone.
I have not seen Benny Woodson in 52 years but still remember the joy and smile he brought to all the Las Plumas H.S. kids. We were a new school, and it was great that we had a great football team. I think he was the quarterback but 52 years later, I'm not sure. Our school was close because we were small and because we had to get to know everyone as we came from lots of different school districts. Benny was one of the highlights of those years. Really wish I could have told him in person but moved from Oroville. Prayers for your family and hope their are a lot of great memories.
RIP Bennie - You will be sorely missed by your OUHS & LPHS Class of 1963. We truly enjoyed your sense of humor, kind spirit and generosity; other than on the football field where you were competitive as all get out!!
