Dear Mary Dayton family, I had the pleasure of serving on the OUHSD Board with Mary and, from that, developed a lasting friendship with her. I am sure you hear or will hear and continue to hear glowing statements from those of us who treasured her dry wit, her outright guffaw of laughter, her intelligence, her compassion and her friendship. She was one of a kind and my life was enriched by knowing her. I am sure your memories of the time you had her in your life will aid you in the grieving period and loss.
She was so terribly proud of all three of her children and of her grandchildren. We would swap stories of the fun we had with our offspring and theirs. The delight she showed with the pure lighting of her face was a joy to behold.
