Obituary of Virginia Ellen Diliberti
Her Legacy… Virginia E. “Jinx” Diliberti was born April 18, 1944 to Almer E. and Mary H. Jones, Jr. in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Jinx passed away on December 8, 2016 in Oroville, California. Growing up in an Air Force family, Jinx moved often. It wasn’t until her marriage and subsequent move to Milwaukee, Wisconsin that Jinx finally settled in one place for more than a few years. During the 15 years that Jinx lived in Milwaukee raising her 3 children, she worked primarily for Xerox Corporation. When her personal circumstances changed, Jinx chose to relocate to Oroville to be near her family. Jinx worked for the California Employment Development Department for more than 20 years, retiring in 2006. She was an active member of the Pilot Club, as well as the Bird Cage Theater, and the Butte County Literacy Program. Jinx will be remembered for her ability to find humor in nearly every situation and for her love of books.
Her Family… Jinx is survived by her husband, James O. Webster; her children, Peter R. Diliberti of Urbandale, IA, Karen Diliberti of Chico, CA, and Diane Diliberti of San Antonio, TX; her sister, Jean Higgins of Oroville; and her brother Gregory D. Jones of Hayward.
