Obituary of Carrie Maureen Hudson

Carrie Maureen Hudson, age 74, left her earthly body on Monday, December 23rd, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer.  She passed peacefully in her own home, in Oroville, California. Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Carrie leaves behind a legacy of love- survived by her husband and true love of over 50 years, Lawrence H. Hudson, her daughters Niki Hudson Hinds and Dana Hudson (m. Melissa Crain), and grandson Isaac Lawrence Hinds. 

Born in Carmichael, California on July 3rd, 1950, Carrie entered the world like a firecracker and remained a source of light throughout her life. As the third of six children born to Helen Castagnasso, she experienced a robust childhood surrounded by siblings, horses, and a whole lot of ranch-life mayhem. She attended Sacramento City College and that is when she met Larry in 1969. More sparks flew and so began an inseparable duo as they set out to build a family of their own.  

Carrie continued to touch countless lives in her long career working with children with special needs and will be remembered for her kind and patient encouragement and incredible dedication to helping others. She always loved children and babies!

Memorial services for this special lady will be held on Tuesday, January 14th at 1:00 pm at the Oroville Funeral Home - located at 1454 Montgomery Street, Oroville, CA 95965.
