Obituary of Klaus Mikko Kuukka

His Legacy… Klaus Mikko Kuukka was born on March 14th, 1943 in Kouvola, Finland to Lilli and Arvi Kuukka. Klaus passed away on June 30th, 2015 in Woodland, California. Klaus led an interesting life, previously living in France, Sweden and England. Klaus met and married his wife Sue in 1979 in England and moved to San Jose, California in 1980. He was a computer engineer working in San Jose until his retirement in 2008 when he moved to Oroville. In Oroville Klaus enjoyed spending his time refereeing youth soccer and volunteering at the Lake Oroville Visitor’s Center where he was the editor of the Bidwell Bar Association’s Prospector newsletter. He was an avid skier and loved to go to Lake Tahoe. He enjoyed traveling and over the past few years traveled to Italy, Africa and Costa Rica, in addition to trips back to the United Kingdom and Finland. He will be missed by many people both in the US and Europe. His Family… Klaus is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sue Kuukka of Oroville, CA; his daughter Anneli Kuukka and her husband Martin Donnelly of Edinburgh, Scotland; his 2 year old granddaughter, Anya, of Edinburgh, Scotland; his daughter Niina Kuukka of San Jose and son Matthew Kuukka of San Francisco; his sister, Leila Silvonen and her husband Matti Silvonen of Joutsa, Finland. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Satu Haapanen.
