Nanci Hicks-Glassgow, was born in Honeybrook, Pa, in 1933; the daughter of Edna and Walter Trago. 

She is survived by 2 first cousins, 3 daughters and spouses, 8 grand children, and 10 great grand children. 

She was married to Gerald Glassgow for 18 years who passed in February 2024. 

Nanci's favorite time of year was Christmas. As a kid she had a little village of cardboard box houses and a little train. For the rest of her life, she collected and set up a Christmas village with trains, houses, businesses, and lots of accessories. She loved sharing pictures of her village and to have people over to enjoy it. 

For many years, in the 1960's, she was a freelance writer. She wrote articles for The Register Newspaper, Oakland Tribune, East Bay Magazine, Food, Dinner and Entertainment, and was involved in the fashion industry. She coordinated fashion shows at the Southland Mall. 

Later she became a legal secretary and found she had quite a knack for finding people. That led her into her profession as a private investigator. She was a member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators for 42 years. She loved being an investigator.  

Nanci passed quietly with family by her side on July 9, 2024. Her funeral is 7-19-24 at 11:30am at Ramsey Funeral Home, Oroville.
