Obituary of Carl Stanley Bolt

Carl Stanley “Bud” Bolt passed away peacefully June 12th, 2024 in Oroville, Ca.

Bud is survived by his loving children and their spouses: Mike and Sandy Bolt, Steve Bolt and Cindy Bolt, Dave Bolt, Patty Bolt and Mark Wright, and his grandchildren and their spouses: Stacy Bolt, Kevin and Ricole Bolt, Alex and Nancy Bolt, Daniel Bolt, Justin Wright, Erin Abby Wright, and Shelby Wright  and Jeffrey Coleman. He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Laila Ann Bolt, 5 sisters, Dorothea Mae Bolt Martenson, Edith Abbie Bolt Schneider, Margaret Louise Bolt Davis, Marjorie Lucille Bolt Thomas, Mildred Irene Bolt Foster, and 2 brothers, George Henry Bolt Jr., Oliver ‘Pete’ Robert Bolt.

 

Bud was born May 20th, 1927 in Kearney, NE to George Henry Bolt Sr. and Abbie Susan Poole Bolt. Bud moved to Vallejo, Ca in 1947 while serving in the United States Marine Corp. He married Laila Ann Bolt on October 24th, 1948 in Vallejo, Ca. Bud worked for the Vallejo Fire Department, was a Branch Manager for Snap-On Tools, a Western District Sales Manager Cornwall Quality Tools, and a Field Manager for Mac Tools. His hobbies included reading, golf, tractors, motorcycles, Antique Tools including opening Bolt’s Antique Tool Museum in 2006, and road tripping by Travel-Trailer across the entire continental 48 states. Bud was involved in Church, Volunteering, and many Club Memberships including 4H Woodworking classes, Toast Masters International, and Dust Bowl presentations to educate people on the History of the Dust Bowl. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and community.

4:00pm: Bolt's Antique Tool Museum in Oroville, CA. Celebration of Life and Museum Gallery Walk with Champagne and Light Appetizers
