Obituary of Larry Smith Sweers

Larry Smith Sweers, 74, of Oroville, California passed away in his home on Monday, June 3, 2024.

Larry was born May 16, 1950, in Flint Michigan, the son of Carl E Sweers
and Ellen M Sweers from Flint, Michigan. Larry served in the United States Marine Core from 1972, serving in Vietnam till his honorable discharge in 1976. Larry met Leanne and married in 1981 in Glendale, California.

Larry served as a police officer for 7 years before he owned his own business as a salesman for office furniture for 35 years, which he loved selling and putting the furniture together. Larry spent his free time roller skating, fishing, bingo, poker, and horse riding / training as well as delivering foals. Larry was an avid man of the trades and could fix and repair anything from automobiles to plumbing and electrical.

He is survived by his wife Leanne B Sweers of Oroville, California, daughter Candee McCoy of Oakhill’s, California, daughter Pam Muso of Victorville, California, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren with one on the way.

A Celebration of Life will be held July 6, 2024 at 450 Oakvale Ave, Oroville California 95966 from 12pm to 3pm. This will be buffet style and BYOB.
