Obituary of Rocky Earl Spencer
Rocky Spencer, 72, of Oroville passed away on May 27, 2024. He was born in Caifornia to Emil and Carmelita Spencer. Rocky attended local public grammar schools and graduated from Oroville High School. He worked at a local sporting-die manufacturing company and retired after 42 years of employment. Rocky was faithful and committed to his job and he kept the same values with his family and friends - always faithful and true to them. He enjoyed retirement espcially when the day involved a fishing trip with his buddy. He also received great enjoyment in caring for his beautiful yard and home where he had resided for 71 years.
Rocky is survived by his sister, Marlene Christofferson and brother-in-law John Christofferson, his niece Elke Merck and her husband Jason Merck, nephew Chris Christofferson and his wife Alison Maki; great-nieces Emilia Merck and Goldie Christofferson, and great-nephew Joseph Merck. He was preceded in death by his parents and great-nephew Ethan Merck.
Rocky had a gentle spirit, and a generous heart. He was always concerned for the other person's happiness and well-being. He will be missed by his familly and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024 at St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church at 11am.
