Karl and "Wifey" -- With a heavy heart I got the news via the UCSF alumni newsletter. Visited them at their hilltop home in Fortuna after we finished residency at UCSF. Last saw Karl at Konocti Harbor when we were both vacationing there -- how long ago was that? (1989 World Series -- Giants and A's and Loma Prieta). Grade school friend, Micki, was a nurse midwife both assisted and had child delivered by him in Fortuna. I wrote him after his move to Oroville that my paternal grandmother was a Johansson and had seven siblings -- sure we were related in ancient Sweden. Condolences to Kristen and Jamie. Bill Hagbom
