JOSEPH FRANK RUGGIRELLO

(PIANO MAN)

Joseph Frank Ruggirello, was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 28, 1945, one of the 6 children born to Paul and Josephine Ruggirello. His siblings were: Richard, Nino, Antoinette, Gina and Joes twin-sister Rose.

Joe was blessed with 3 sons, Vincent Ruggirello, of Roseville, California, Joseph (Joel) Ruggirello, and Richard Ruggirello of Oroville, California.

Joe had 5 grandchildren, Alexa Ruggirello of Roseville, California, Andrea Ruggirello, Joseph Ruggirello, Alexander Ruggirello, and Jaylee Ruggirello, all of Oroville, California.

Joe was living in Concord, California when he enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam War. He served his country from July 1965, until his discharge in July of 1968. During this time, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with two Bronze Service Stars and the Expert Rifle w/Carbine and Missileman Badge and the Gallantry Cross Medal.

Joe was a carpenter, journeyman in sheet rock construction for 40 plus years. He was a master of his trade.

For the past 19 years, Joe enjoyed life with his beloved companion, Pamela Terry.  They enjoyed camping, gold mining, hiking and canoeing. He surely enjoyed the family get-togethers, whether it was camping, picnicking or just big family dinners with Pamela and her entire family during the holidays. His favorite place to be was always Milsap Bar.

Joe always enjoyed playing the piano and entertaining others.  This is how he earned his name “Piano Man.” His favorite song was “Ain’t No Sunshine.”

To all who knew Joe, he was considered a great, “brother”, “uncle”, “grandpa” and “friend. “ and he was loved by every one of us.

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 2pm to 6pm at the Mooretown Gym; 1 Alverta Dr. Oroville, California 95966.

Anyone who knew Joe is welcome. Please bring youre favorite memory of him along with any pictures you may have.

We will be having a potluck, meat, ice and drinks will be provided.Please bring youre favorite side dish or dessert.
