Obituary of Stevie Lee Shamblin
Steve Shamblin, a beloved husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and friend, passed away on March 10, 2024, in his hometown of Oroville, California. Born to Betty and Emery Shamblin on September 16, 1950.
Steve’s early years were shared with his siblings, Diane, Elaine, Dennis and Danny, creating many loving memories. Steve was a graduate of Las Plumas High in 1968 and attended Butte College. Professionally, Steve was a skilled carpenter where his vision and dedication were evident in the structures he helped shape. His expertise also guided numerous construction companies and he was a valued member of the Carpenters union for 27 years.
In 1969, Steve married his love, Judy Regis. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and the joyous hustle and bustle of raising their two daughters, Angel and Shannon. One of Steve’s passions was coaching baseball and softball. He began coaching at the age of 16 and later coached his Daughters in Bobby Sox and travel ball. He formed many friendships through softball and had countless memories that he always held close to his heart. An avid outdoorsman, Steve found solace in the serenity of nature. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, spending time with his dogs, and working in the yard.
Steve’s legacy is also carried on by his adored grandchildren, Carson and Keely. They will cherish many fond memories with their loving and giving Grandpa.
The patriarch of his family, Steve is father to two children. Angel Shamblin (Jeanine) of Chico, Shannon Sharp of Chico, Grandpa to two grandchildren Carson Sharp and Keely Sharp. Brother to Dennis Shamblin. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Emery and Betty Shamblin, his sisters Diane Oates and Carol Elanie Gowen, and his brother Danny Shamblin. Steve’s fiery spirit and great sense of humor will always be missed.
A service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held on

at 2:00pm
