Gordon Andoe

Obituary of Gordon Andoe

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon Andoe, one of our most recent Hall of Fame inductees. Gordon, a proud 1956 OHS graduate, left an indelible mark on our community. A football player and Block O member during his high school years, Gordon's dedication extended far beyond the field. Serving as the mayor of Oroville for seven years, he played a pivotal role in developing funding for the Oroville Centennial Plaza. His impact also reached the educational sphere, as he was instrumental in bringing the Northwest Lineman College to Oroville.

Gordon was a successful entrepreneur, running an appraisal business in town since 1979. His leadership extended to the realm of sports, where he served as the president of Oroville Area Sports Initiative Supporters (OASIS). Together, they championed Measure G, raising twelve million to renovate Harrison Stadium. Gordon's legacy lives on as OASIS continues to maintain the stadium, ensuring it remains a vibrant hub for our community.
