Obituary of Joyce Elaine Stohlman
Joyce Elaine (Sebring) Stohlman was born on August 10, 1943 in Le Grand, California. She passed away on December 11, 2023 in Gridley, California after a short battle with cancer.
Joyce is survived by her daughters Tamara Konz (Cory) and Christine Pantaleoni (Dino) along with 7 grandchildren (Shelby Hammons, Colby Pantaleoni, Grace Pantaleoni, Veronyca Culver, Christian Lopez, Nycole Lopez and Noah Konz) as well as 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Vivian Sebring and her devoted caretaker and best friend, Marci McPherrin.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father, DeAubrey Sebring, her mother, Alma Lund, and her brother, Frederick Sebring. As well as “Uncle Jojo”, Elwyn Sebring.
She was raised in Biggs, California on a dairy farm and graduated from Biggs High School.
She owned and operated her beauty salon in Gridley, The Magic Curl. Later she managed the nursery at Gridley Growers Inc. Joyce was a talented artist. She worked with oil paints, creating beautiful portraits and wildlife masterpieces. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid gardener. More than anything, she enjoyed every minute of her time spent with her grandkids.
The family will hold a small graveside service at the Gridley Biggs Cemetery on May 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. where she will be buried next to her brother.
