Obituary of Michael Linden Gates
Michael "Mike" Linden Gates, 52, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, September 3, 2016 peacefully at home after a long fierce battle with cancer. Mike was born on May 26, 1964 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Dauphin County Tech school in 1982.
Mike was a very kind and gentle soul with a generous heart that was always giving to others no matter the cost. He had many hobbies to include gold panning, collecting hot wheels and fixing watches.
Mike is preceded in death by his loving mother, Evelyn L. Gates, his beloved wife and children, and his grandmothers who are all now holding them in their arms once again.
Mike leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his devoted father, Linden B. Gates of Florida, his loving sisters Sherry Knepp of Pennsylvania, Deborah Reeves of Maryland, his older brother Thomas Gates of Pennsylvania and his caregivers and closest friends Edward and Debra Clawson of Oroville, CA. There are also many who were there with and for Mike through his struggle that became family and will forever mourn his passing while smiling at the memory of his laugh, Tonie LeBurge, Sara Byrd, Eddie Taylor, Timothy Copeland and many more.
