Obituary of Scott Owen Watson
Scott Owen Watson, 64, passed away peacefully at home on Nov 1, 2023. He was born Sept 19, 1959, in Long Beach, CA. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School, University of Long Beach and University of Phoenix, where he earned degrees in Business and Management. For many years, he was involved in the Little League and Youth Soccer Leagues in Southern and Northern California. He enjoyed traveling, playing golf, and volunteering in his community. He also enjoyed tutoring high school students in math and celebrating with them in their accomplishments. He had a passion for building things and working on projects with each of his children and grandchildren. He was also a member of the Forbestown Masonic Lodge #50.
Scott is survived by his wife Ellie of Oroville, children Jeff (Nicole) of Oakdale, Brandon (Eileen) of Tracy, Greg Flynn (Stacie) of Davis Creek, Carolanne Flynn and Andrew Guerrero of Oroville, and Marisa Guerrero of Lebanon, TN. Grandchildren Nathen Watson, Emma Watson, Presley, Wesley and Emilie Keeney, and Layla Watson. Brothers Dave (Deb) of Nipomo, Todd (Karen) of Martinez, Laura Ballantyne of Dana Point, and Paula Watson of Redmond, WA. Nieces and nephews Michelle Figueroa, James Watson, Brent, Cole, Dillon and Anna Watson, Tim Phipps, Tiffany Shelton, Thomas Whiteley, Colin, Caitlin and Emma Ballantyne, and Joe and Kelsie Whiteley.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Mary Watson of Long Beach.
We will all miss our Bubba, our Brother Scott, our Papa Scott, our Grandpa, our Uncle Scott. He loved to make people laugh and he wore many hats, but had shoes that no other could fill. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
