Obituary of Rocky Merrill Smith, Jr.

Rocky Merrill Smith Jr. was born June 19, 1978 to Christine Hills and Rocky Merrill Smith Sr. in Oroville Ca. He attended Wyandotte Ave School, Central Middle School and Oroville High School. After high school Rocky worked several years as a security guard for Gold Country Casino. As a youth Rocky was a member of Wynn Memorial Church where he sang in the youth choir was a youth usher and a drummer. Rocky was very adventurous and he loved to fish. He was a true RAIDERS fan, he enjoyed playing basketball, teaching his niece Keshon to play tennis and playing dominos with his grandma Dell. Rocky had a great sense of humor and he had nicknames for everybody.

On Wednesday October 11, 2023 Rocky departed this life, he leaves to mourn one son Kaden Johnson, his mother Christine Thompson, father Rocky M. Smith Sr. three sisters Keishna Smith, Danika Coffee and Stephanie Smith, two brothers Kevin Coffee Sr and Gregory Smith, grandmother Verdell Hills, girlfriend Tina Bryant and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Marcellus Sr. & Alfreda Smith and grandfather Robert Hills Sr.
