Obituary of Cecelia Vera Brock

Cecilia Vera Brock, 85, entered into rest on October 8, 2023.

Native born in Oroville Ca to Elmer and Eva Smith. She was the first-born Maidu twin with surviving twin, Cecil Smith in Butte County. Tillie had nine siblings, numerous relatives connecting throughout the tribal communities. She was a beloved housewife, who survived Wayne Brock for sixty plus years. A mother to three boys Ronald, Donald and Richard Brock. She was also a grandmother to four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She retired from the local cannery after thirty years. She was known for her beadwork, basketmaking and crafts for the native community. She loved listening to oldies on her record player. She will forever be known for her sweet heart, generosity and quiet tone. Her beloved energy filled the room with kindness and acceptance.

A Gravside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., noon, on Thursday October 19th, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Oroville.
