I had the privilege of teaching Steve and wife Betty when they were in the 6th grade and then in the 8th grade, so I first knew Bill as a parent. Later on in the early 80's, we worked together in the Harrison Stadium press box as he did OHS football stats and I did PA. We had great times on Friday nights for a few years. Bill was truly a wonderful human being and good friend to countless numbers of people. He was a dedicated public servant, a highly competent and respected Butte County Public Works Director for years, and I had the honor of reading his introduction when he was inducted onto the OUHSD Hall of Fame in 2010. Bill will forever be in my memory as a long time friend and forever a Hall of Famer! Ray Sehorn
